Healthy Revenge?

I caught the tail end of a show with a segment that was a little unnerving to me because it didn't give the full description of the human experience.

So, I wanted to throw it out there to YOU to see your take on this subject of revenge.

They briefly discussed how enacting revenge on someone will help you feel better and that there is research to back this.  While this is true, to engage in revenge is only a momentary fix to your emotional distress.  That in fact it prolongs your  ability to "let go" and move on from the person or the problem.  That is fixes you in that time and keeps you stuck in that moment in history and in your anger.

There is A LOT of research on this subject as well.

Spend some time writing about your experience with revenge.  Whether you were the giver or the receiver.  Did it work? Did it back fire?  Did it really keep you hooked into anger, resentment and your history?

How would you like to do it differently?
